Price & Plan Options
AFC Home Club offers its customers four unique plans. The pricing is based upon quotes and will largely depend upon the type of and size of the property, and the location.
The System Plan covers air conditioning/cooler, heating systems, water heaters, electrical systems, plumbing systems, and ductwork. The Silver Plan covers several appliances, clothes dryers, clothes washers, refrigerators, ovens, ranges, stoves/cooktops, dishwashers, garbage disposal units, and garage door openers. The Gold Plan covers everything in the System Plan and the Silver Plan together. Finally, the Platinum Plan covers the entirety of the Gold Plan with the addition of plumbing stoppages, built-in microwaves, and icemakers.
For an additional fee, it is also possible to cover the following:

- Standalone Freezers
- Tank-less Water Heaters
The plans last a year and on average, it costs between $350 and $625, but as noted, the only way to get an accurate price is to request a quote (which is free of charge). There is also a discount available for renewing customers who purchase a three-year plan. The company contacts customers 30 days before the plan expires to discuss renewal.
Professional Contractor Network
AFC Home Club has a large network of local contractors that it can send out to customers. If a client prefers to use a contractor who they already know, then AFC Home Club is happy to accommodate it. They are able to work with any licensed, bonded, and insured technician. Customers simply need to ask their regular contractors to contact AFC Home Club after diagnosing the problem and they will then get a quick approval for covered repairs. Following the repair, AFC Home Club will pay the technician using a company credit card over the phone via PayPal or an electronic check.
Making claims is very straightforward. Customers can either contact AFC Home Club over the telephone or online to open a new service request with details of the faulty appliance. Customers will then be connected with a licensed local contractor within two business days or they may contact their own. If the technician is able to carry out the necessary repairs straightaway then they will provide AFC Home Club with a diagnosis of the problem for authorization. If parts or supplies need to be ordered, the technician will submit the diagnosis online for authorization. Once the approved repairs have been carried out, AFC Home Club contacts customers to confirm that they are satisfied before paying the technician directly.
The claims department can be reached at any time. However, it should be noted that it is not an emergency service, so customers may have to wait for business hours before a contractor can be contacted. However, customers are welcome to contact an after-hours technician they are familiar with if necessary.
Customers will have to pay a service fee and this will depend on the price of the plan. AFC offer service fees of $75, $100 or $125, and customers can choose one when they set up their plan. The cheaper the plan the more expensive the service fee is, so customers may choose one based upon their projected needs.
Repair & Replacement Policies
AFC Home Club offers the longest work guarantee in the industry; it lasts for the lifetime of the customer’s plan. This is in stark contrast to many other companies that offer guarantees of just 30 or 60 days. Furthermore, there is no limit on how many times a customer can request service and the number of requests will not affect the price of a plan.
While the plans are very comprehensive, they do not cover everything. The Silver, Gold and Platinum plans will cover up to $2,000 per appliance and the contracts contain details on exactly what is and isn’t covered.
For example, in regards to clothes dryers, the Silver, Gold and Platinum Plans will cover the Main Control Board, Thermal Fuse, Drum Glide, Gas Valve Solenoid, Pilot Burner, Heating Element, Heating Element Assembly, Cycling Thermostat, Timer, Rollers, Igniter, Drive Belt, Thermistor Idler Pulley, Idler Assembly, High Limit Thermostat, Surface Limit Control, Power Pack, Blower Wheel Flame Sensor, Drive Motor, Knob, and Snap Retaining Ring. However, it does not cover the Drum, Seals, Gaskets, Vents, Touch Panel/Displays, or Tubs.
