Price & Plan Options

Select Home Warranty will provide your quote instantly. 

Afterward, you can browse and choose from any of three different packages available:

Bronze Care: The list price for this plan is $52 per month, however with the discount offered, the plan starts at $36 a month. It covers garbage disposal, clothes washer, refrigerator, store/oven, microwave oven (built-in), cooktop, dishwasher, and clothes dryer.

Gold Care: The list price for the plan is $52 per month, however with the discount offered, the plan starts at $36 a month and includes coverage for A/C cooling system, ductwork, heating system, plumbing system, electrical system, and water heater.

Platinum Care: The list price for the plan is $58 a month, however with the discount offered, the plan starts at $42 per month. This is the most comprehensive option as it offers a warranty for all the products covered under the Bronze Care and Gold Care plans with the addition of ceiling fan and garage door opener.

You can also include add-ons to your plans which will cost you between $0 and $8.33 per month and are as follows:

  • Free Roof Leak
  • Pool – $8.33
  • Central Vacuum – $3.33
  • Sump Pump – $3.33
  • Well Pump – $3.33
  • Standalone Freezer – $3.33
  • Lawn Sprinkler System – $5.83
  • Septic System – $5.83

If you pay the home warranty fee annually, the company will offer you 2 months free coverage, reducing your monthly cost to:

  • Bronze Care: $32 per month
  • Gold Care: $32 per month
  • Platinum Care: $38 per month

Select Home Warranty has one of the lowest trade service fees in the industry, ranging between $60 to $75 depending on the plan you choose. There is a cancellation fee of $75 if you eliminate your contract, however, cancellation within 30 days of signing up is free.

Claims Process

Submitting a claim is easy. There is an online form that needs to be filled by the user with basic information details including your name, phone, email, address, city, and details on the issue you are facing. You can also send them an email with your concerns and they will generate a ticket for your claim.

With Select Home Warranty, you are required to file for a claim within 3 days of identifying the issue. Once the claim is made, the company will dispatch technicians to your residence for repair and replacement within 48 hours on weekdays and 4 days during holidays and weekends. You are required to pay the trade service call fee of $60 to $75, depending on your plan, to the technician upon visit.

There is no limit on the number of repair works carried out for covered items. 

Repair & Replacement Policies

Like all home warranty companies, there are repair and replacement policies that explain what the company does and does not cover. Usually these are extensive lists and we recommend that you carefully go through it before signing up to any of the home warranty service providers. 

Select Home Warranty has a list of exclusions including solar or tankless water heating systems, water softeners, plumbing stoppages caused by collapsed, damaged or broken drains, ceiling fan lights, and more. You can view the list of exclusions on the company website in the “terms” section or download a sample contract. 

The company might request three years prior maintenance records for any of the covered items. If you do not possess these records, the payout will be capped at $150 per appliance or home system repair, $2,000 for heating and cooling systems, and $500 for plumbing and electrical. There are other caps/limitations that you can view under the “terms” section on the website.

One of the best things about Select Home Warranty is that you are not required to have a home inspection before you sign up for a plan.
